On Friday, 14 November, Oborozuki invites guests to an evening of refined indulgence — a one-night-only Champagne dinner hosted in collaboration with Maison Pommery, one of France’s most celebrated Champagne Houses.
For this rare occasion, Madame Nathalie Vranken, owner and global CEO of Vranken-Pommery, will travel from Reims to personally host this special evening at Oborozuki Sydney. With grace and charm, she will share the stories, philosophy, and history that have shaped Pommery’s legacy, offering a rare opportunity to connect directly with the visionary behind one of Champagne’s most iconic Maisons.
Guests will be guided through a five-glass Champagne tasting, featuring an extraordinary line-up of cuvées including the prestigious Cuvée Louise Parcelles 2005 — an exceptional vintage crafted from the most revered parcels in Avize, Cramant, and Aÿ. Each Champagne will be carefully matched with a four-course tasting menu designed by Head Chef Daeun Kang, whose culinary artistry captures the essence of Oborozuki: refined, modern, and deeply rooted in respect for craft and seasonality.
This is more than a dinner; it is an encounter between two worlds of mastery; the legacy of French winemaking and the elegance of contemporary Japanese-inspired fine dining. Each course will highlight the nuances, textures, and elegance of these remarkable wines, drawing out their depth through a harmonious interplay of flavours and precision.
Madame Vranken will personally introduce each cuvée, sharing the intimate details that make every bottle a story of its own, from the meticulous vineyard selection to the philosophy behind the Maison’s pioneering spirit. Guests will leave with not only an unforgettable sensory experience but also a deeper understanding of what defines true Champagne excellence.
With very limited seats available, this exclusive evening is reserved for those who seek something beyond the ordinary, a moment to savour, to discover, and to celebrate.
