Object Therapy discussion panel

An industry-focused panel for designers and makers to contemplate the viability of transformative repair

Is transformative repair a response to problems of obsolescence and waste in product design? Does it have the potential to create an emergent service market for design and arts professionals?

Consider these questions and many more with a panel of experts including Object Therapy curator and project designer Guy Keulemans, designer Henry Wilson, ceramicist Naomi Taplin and hosted by ABC Sydney’s Simon Marnie.

This event is related to the exhibition Object Therapy at ADC until 7 June.

The project was conceived and first presented by Hotel Hotel in collaboration with UNSW Art & Design and the ANU School of Art and Design. Featuring the work of 29 designers who have repaired the treasured objects owned by members of the community, the exhibition in packed full of fascinating stories.

Object Therapy is part of ADC On Tour, the Australian Design Centre’s national touring program. ADC is partnering with Hotel Hotel for the first time to develop and deliver an eight-venue national tour supported by the Australian Government’s, Visions of Australia program.
