Ally Morgan can barely ride a skateboard, let alone navigate the ups and downs of her 20s. As if losing her job wasn’t enough, she battles constant climate anxiety and an increasing awareness of her own mortality. So, she muddles through the messiness of life the best way she knows how.

By singing really loud about it.

An intimate cabaret experience, Not Today is a frank, funny, and emotion-charged song cycle about trying to make the most of life, while you can. Featuring an entirely original score, Ally will take you on a bumpy ride through life as a not-yet-famous 26-year-old.

The song cycle features twelve of Ally’s smart, fun, and insightful pieces, including the titular “Not Today”, following one queer young's woman story as she comes to terms with her sexuality, climate anxiety, and her own mortality.

It’s a heartfelt and sometimes hilariously sarcastic journey into the hopes and dreams of a millennial-in-progress.

“We are here, and we will die someday, but not today.”

KXT Popupstairs is held in the Bordello Room at KX Hotel, Level 4. Access via the lift. Doors open 6.30pm. The Bordello bar will be open for the performance.

Not Today is presented by Rogue Projects as part of the KXT Popupstairs program with thanks to KXT and the KX Hotel, and the support of the City of Sydney.
