Boom! International Festival of Percussion presents the next generation of percussionists from Sydney Conservatorium of Music showing off their brilliance in a varied, vivid and vibrant program of recent works by composers Venet, Pickering, Psathas and Koshinski.

Andrea Venet’s Omnes Trio is a powerhouse drumming showcase, while Caleb Pickering’s Electro-Phantasm shows off the colourful timbre of keyboards, cajon, and percussion.

Kyoto – John Psathas’ virtuosic tour de force for marimbas, vibraphones, and drums – contrasts with 360 by inveterate explorer of non-traditional percussive techniques and sounds, composer Gene Koshinski.
