Local writer, critic, presenter and co-founder of P&V Wine + Liquor Merchants, Mike Bennie, hosts a 1-night-only event showcasing the misfits of the wine world.
Over the night, there’ll be 8 wine and drinks matched to 4 courses with all wines focused on minimal intervention winemaking from avant-garde wine producers. The evening commences with canapes and the choice of a pet-nat or wild ferment beer in the out-of-bounds room. Sit down to enjoy a selection of unconventional wines perfectly paired with a 3-course menu by Misfits executive chef, James Privett.
Beef short rib, charred sugarloaf cabbage, pangrattato complements the Brave New Wine Rude Boy 2018 and Vignoble Mingot Cabernet Franc 2016. Burrata, spiced apricots, jalapeno dust, flax seed crisp is paired with Mac Forbes RS 18 Riesling 2017. Terada Honke Daigo no Shizuku sake tops off the night.
