Every month, Mini Mariners welcomes 2-5 year-olds and their parents/carers

Selected Tuesdays, one Saturday each month, new theme every month.

Explore the galleries, sing and dance in interactive tours with costumed guides. Enjoy creative free play, craft, games and story time in our themed activity area.

To ensure social distancing, our tours are running at reduced capacity and additional hygiene measures are in place. Find out more about the museum's Covid-safe practices.

Themes

January: Tuesday 12, 19, Sat 16, 23

Silly Sea Creatives: Explore amazing creatures that live under the sea through movement, sogns and storytime in our fun and interactive learning program especially designed for toddlers. Afterwards head to the activity space for crafts and messy play.

February: Tuesday 2, 9,16, 23 and Saturday 13

Drip Drop Splash: Swish, bubble, splash and dive into the wonderful world of water in a character guided through the museum galleries. Discover stories about water and how we use it everyday. Sing songs, enjoy messy play activities and make your own bubble painting to take home.

March: Tuesday 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and Saturday 13

Pirates Ahoy: Let's follow the treasure map around the museum to find the secret treasure cave. Learn how to sing, dance and scrub the deck like a pirate. Then you can decorate your own pirate hat or parrot puppet to take home and enjoy some special pirate science experiments.
