World Jazz Day, Mike Nock’s Noctet play Foundry616 – and what better way to celebrate the occasion than visit Foundry616 to enjoy the Noctet’s heady mix of youth and experience!

Twice winning Australian Jazz Group of the Year (2003 & 2015) at the prestigious Bell Awards, the group has toured nationally and boasts a who’s who of top Australian players in its ranks. The current line-up features some of the most exciting young players in Australia.

The Noctet will feature:

  • Tom Avgenicos: Trumpet

  • Hilary Geddes: Guitar

  • Alex Hirlian: Drummer

  • Ben Lerner: Alto Saxophonist

With veterans, Karl Laskowski on tenor sax, Brett Hirst on bass, Alex Silver on trombone, and Mike on piano/electronics!
