Memoir writing workshop

A morning of reading, writing and discussing what makes a good life story.

Everybody has a story. Waverley Library welcomes you to join Sarah Klenbort for a memoir writing workshop.

Whether you’ve written and studied memoir before, or if you’re just beginning, join us for a morning  of reading, writing and discussing what makes a good life story.

The 2-hour workshop will examine the key elements of memoir writing through looking at established writers, then quickly move on to writing our own.

Attendees will have an opportunity to share their in-class writing and receive feedback. Finally, we’ll discuss where to try publishing and ways to self-publish.

Sarah Klenbort is a prize-winning writer, who teaches literature at Western Sydney University and Creative Writing at Sydney Community College.
