Following her successful exhibition at Art Central Hong Kong in March earlier this year, Melinda Schawel presents her new body of work, Boundless, at Sydney Contemporary.
Melinda Schawel’s new series plays with subtle colours and textures, creating tension on the picture plane and a push-pull dynamic between suspended forms. Boundless’ dreamlike compositions may reference global environmental issues, suggesting damage as well as resilience and vulnerable beauty.
Melinda Schawel’s work is represented in major public and private collections, including the National Gallery of Australia and Artbank.
