Makerspace school holiday workshops

Sensational series of free creative workshops for kids aged 5 to 15 years.

Schools out, so to celebrate, we’ve got free hands-on making sessions for kids. They’ll have fun while they get creative with electronics and robotics. Kids can just BYO imagination and get constructing.

These school holidays we’ll be exploring motion, electronics and robotics.

LittleBits building (5-8 years): Kids will get to combine our littleBits electronic building blocks with sensors and motors to create fun electrical circuits.
Customs House Library – Wednesday 11 July : 11am-12pm
Kings Cross Library – Wednesday 18 July 11am-12pm

Edison Robots (8-12 years): Kids will explore a range of engineering challenges with our new EdCreate extension construction kits for Edison Robots. There are 5 projects to choose from: a crane, tank, drawing machine, robo claw or digger.
Surry Hills Library – Thursday 19 July: 11am-12pm

Steady-hand game (10-15 years): Kids will design their own steady-hand game using simple electronics and test their hand-eye skill.
Haymarket Library – Friday 20 July: 11am-12pm

Workshops are free, however bookings are recommended as places are limited.

Everything is provided, and parents or guardians need to stay in the library during the session.
