Every day, 10:30am to 4pm Thursday 6 October 2022 to Saturday 8 October 2022
Sensory-friendly session: Friday 7 October, 10.30am to 12.30pm
Mai, Garaga, Guri means “Eyes, Mouth, Ears” in the language of the Gadigal people, the traditional owners of the land and waters the MCA is situated upon.
Take part in this creative session with your family. You will be taken on an interactive tour of the larger-than-life artwork, P.P.F. (Past-Present-Future) (2021) by Vincent Namatjira. You will dive into the ideas of past, present and future shared by the artist, followed by a creative making session in the Studio.
All participants will be supported by MCA Artist Educators throughout this session.
Sensory-friendly session: Friday 7 October, 10.30am–12.30pm
At the MCA, we believe that art is for everyone! Our sensory-friendly sessions offer the same adventure described above, with the following changes:
Music and noise volume is lowered
Lights and equipment are reduced, to create a calmer space
Extra chill-out space for all families
Extra MCA Artist-Educators to support everyone
Extra space and time to take part at your own pace
Who can attend?
All bodies and all abilities are welcome. We keep our activities simple so that children and their grown-ups can play and create together. There is no right or wrong way to make art!
Recommended age group is 5-12+. Please see Art Safari and Family tours for activities suitable for 0 to 5 years olds.
