Join us these school holidays for the Macquarie Street Adventure, a day of family fun proudly presented by Museums of History NSW, the Parliament of NSW and the State Library of NSW.

Enjoy free drop-in activities in the Hyde Park Barracks courtyard. Learn the historical art of knot-tying with macramé artist Carol Lamb, make your own convict love token, build a paper replica of the Hyde Park Barracks and try your hand at convict bricklaying.

As part of the Macquarie Street Adventure, NSW Parliament is presenting the Festival of Democracy, a free family friendly day with hands on activities, arts and crafts, historic chamber visits and interactive re-enactments.

Drop in to the State Library of NSW for hands-on activities, exhibitions, and book tickets to join R.A. Spratt as her smash-hit podcast Bedtime Stories with R.A. Spratt is recorded live in the auditorium at 2pm.
