Wednesday 11 August 2021 from 1pm to 2pm
In this session, Tommy Sterling will discuss some very modern dilemmas intersecting with a traditional life, with a particular focus on those that are impacted by living with Multiple Sclerosis.
For Orthodox Jews, navigating Shabbat presents a number of complications. Under what circumstances can one boil water, heat food or turn on lights? And in what ways might these issues be complicated by disability? Can one use an electric wheelchair, for example?
Tommy Sterling is a lawyer, husband to a Rabbanit (making him a Rebbitzman) and a father of three teenagers. He is a proud Orthodox Jew, who is passionate about Jewish texts and reading in general.
