Lunchbox Jazz

Inspiring music from Antipodes AUS/NZ jazz quintet

Bring along your lunch and enjoy an hour of inspiring jazz music in the historic Scots Church Sydney!

Antipodes NZ/AUS ‘Good Winter’ album release
With fiery solos, contagious grooves and beautiful melodies, these extremely fine NZ and AUS musicians write inspiring jazz music that is as brilliantly artful as it is beautifully accessible. The 5 piece, who are back by popular demand on their fourth tour of Australia and New Zealand, are gathering all sorts of national accolades: such as guitarist Allardice, taking the 2017 NZ APRA jazz composition of the year award, pianist Sweeting, who was selected in the top 3 of the 2016 Freedman Jazz Finals at the Opera House, double bassist Botting, who was a grand finalist at the 2015 National Jazz Awards at Wangaratta Jazz Festival. The ensemble will be performing music from their latest album release entitled: ‘Good Winter’.

“Do we deserve such dreams as these.” – an actual reviewer.
