2026 Lunar New Year Concert, presented in the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall, brings together vocal music, instrumental performance and Xiangsheng (comic crosstalk) in a vibrant cross-genre program.
Familiar melodies sit alongside contemporary works, with show-style violin and expressive saxophone performances adding colour and energy to the evening.
A line-up of well-known artists, widely recognised from appearances on China’s annual Spring Festival Gala – one of the country’s most watched cultural broadcasts – evokes a powerful sense of shared cultural memory associated with Lunar New Year.
