Celebrate Burwood – recently named Time Out’s #1 Coolest Neighbourhood in Australia, and one of the country’s most culturally diverse communities.

The night begins at the MCA, where Live at the MCA brings the energy, sound and stories of Burwood to Tallawoladah. Expect roving drumming performances and a vibrant line-up of Chinese, Korean and Japanese musicians weaving together traditional practice and contemporary expression. Visitors can also experience Burwood’s thriving gaming culture through a curated selection of interactive games.

At 7pm, full ticketholders board a vintage double-decker bus for an artist-led ride to Burwood, with live entertainment and storytelling unfolding along the way. On arrival, guests will experience a hosted tasting tour through Burwood Chinatown, followed by an intimate late-night performance in Ford Lane featuring emerging K-pop, R&B and pop artists.

Curated and led by artists, Next Stop Burwood transforms place, performance and travel into a shared cultural experience – from harbour to high street.

The MCA Experience: $20–35, free for members and under 18s

The Full Next Stop Burwood Experience: $60
