When

Every day, all day Thursday 23 September 2021 to Saturday 16 October 2021

Before an object is created and fully realised, it doesn't yet exist. It's simply an abstraction floating in someone's head.

The title is a reference to the big bang, the beginning of the universe. We play with the idea that something is created from nothing. Manipulating a flat form into a 3D shape is when it becomes alive and becomes an object that adopts form and meaning.

Yukiko Nonaka and Margaret Park are recipients of the SSG Exhibition Prize awarded for excellence.
