Amongst the glow of the magnificent Lunar Lanterns, the City of Sydney’s lion dancing troupes will ring in the Lunar New Year celebrations with plenty of drumming, flamboyance and skill. An integral part of City of Sydney’s Lunar New Year Festival, the Lion Dance is a Chinese tradition stretching back over 1,000 years and has featured in our Lunar New Year Festival since it began 23 years ago.
Performances are on from 1-7 and 10 February at 7pm and 7.30pm near the Dog and Tiger lanterns, Circular Quay. Each performance is 10 minutes.
