89 Crown St
Darlinghurst NSW 2010
Australia
When

Every day, all day Tuesday 15 March 2022 to Monday 25 July 2022

Lightworx Gallery partners with contemporary artist Max Patté, debuting his Cluster exhibition in vibrant new Darlinghurst gallery.

Sydney art lovers will get an exclusive look at an exciting new collection of works, including towering sculptures, expansive wall-hanging lightworks, and sweeping horizon paintings.

Max works at the forefront of international contemporary art, testing the very limits of technology. Sydneysiders will marvel at the precision, beauty, and spellbinding creativity his work achieves.

Art gallery visionary, Pauline Bianchi, is the founder and director of New Zealand's largest Art Gallery Group—Artbay and Lightworx Galleries. With 20+ years industry experience and four galleries throughout New Zealand, her new Darlinghurst gallery is a natural steppingstone across international waters and back to her birth country.

Pauline has represented Patté in New Zealand since 2018, expanding his reach to her high- profile collectors and winning audiences' hearts in her cutting-edge exhibition spaces. It was inevitable her first exhibition in Sydney would feature his work.

The Cluster series represents a direct artistic development from Max’ Spot Infinity Works and droplet paintings, and much of the exhibition is inspired by his earlier work as he continues to employ new or emerging technologies to explore new areas of art.

“And colours in the Puhoi triptych were the colours I saw in the skies above Puhoi in New Zealand’s North Island during the 2020 Australian bushfires. It’s a stark reminder that everything is connected.”

Max Patté's debut Sydney exhibition is now open at the Lightworx + Max Patté pop-up gallery. It is open until July 25th.
