Life drawing workshop

8 Shepherd St
Chippendale NSW 2008

Wednesday 25 August from 6:30pm to 8:30pm Wednesday 22 September from 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Have you wanted to learn to draw people? Come and join in this workshop to help you uncover your artistic talent.

The workshop is designed for all levels but some previous drawing experience will be beneficial. Workshop will begin with an introduction to life drawing, before diving into the course content which will develop your drawing skills including the basic proportions, and the dynamic actions, and some advanced techniques like foreshortening and tonal balance.

You will receive teaching and support from David Flitcroft, an award-winning artist with over 20 years to develop your drawing skills and better understand how to represent the human form in your artwork.

At the conclusion of the workshop, you will walk away with tools, techniques and ways of looking at drawing... better understand how to combine your own personal expression with an appreciation of the life model, greatly improve your skills and take home your own drawing.

** David Flitcroft is an artist with over 20 years of experience, a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Diploma of Visual and Studio Arts. He is a passionate portrait and figure artist, with a successful career in fine arts, photorealistic illustration, storyboarding and design. David has been teaching life drawing and portraiture for the past decade. Prizes include best upcoming national artist (Agendo, 2009), first in international illustration (Adobe, 2019) and the Cannes Bronze Lion prize for storyboarding (2015), as well as multiple regional prizes in mixed media and painting.
