LGBTIQ films

Discover the program at the Sydney Film Festival

It’s official: 2018 is the biggest year ever for lesbian cinema at SFF. No kidding, we’ve got 11 films starring or about women who love women, from our joyous Closing Night film Hearts Beat Loud to the uber-hip, banned in Kenya film Rafiki and riveting psycho-thriller What Keeps You Alive.

Plus there’s this year’s Teddy Award winner for Best LGBT Feature Film at the Berlinale, Hard Paint, starring a neon-slathered camboy sex performer, Sundance winner We the Animals, which has earned glowing comparisons to Moonlight and docos about everyone from fashion icon Alexander McQueen to champion ice skater John Curry and rock’n’roll legend Joan Jett.

Please visit the SFF website for the full list and more information.
