Where
KPMG
KPMG
300 Barangaroo Avenue, Barangaroo
When

Thursday 23 June 2022 from 6pm to 9pm

This evening is dedicated to asking the question: How can Australia do better to accelerate climate tech innovation?

Join us to hear from industry experts on how the Sydney startup ecosystem can accelerate the growth of climate-tech founders.

The evening will kick off with a fireside chat between Creel Price, Cofounder of Investibleand Australia’s dedicated climate tech hub Greenhouse, and Grace Sai, founder of Unravel Carbon. Grace will draw on her experience with the Singapore startup ecosystem - rated the 14th in the world - to dissect how Australian institutions - corporates, governments, and more - can better support climate tech startups in commercialisation and growth.

Alongside Grace will be local Climate-Tech founders Peter Manettas from Shore Trade and Josh Dunford from PostHarvest and experienced Company Director and Commercialisation Advisor Rob Fitz.

The panel will share the hurdles they faced with commercialisation within Australia and their experiences with corporate procurement processes and government support.

We will open up these challenges to the floor for founders in the audience to share their own challenges with the Australian startup ecosystem to workshop live with Grace, Creel and the panel and continue the conversations during the networking reception.

Program:

  • 6:00pm - 6:30pm: Arrival

  • 6:30pm - 7:00pm: Fireside chat with Grace Sai and Creel Price

  • 7:00pm - 7:30pm: Interactive Panel and Audience discussion
