The Grand Cabaret Show created for Bastille Festival by James Karp (The Magician’s Cabaret) and choreographed by James Taylor will return for a night full of surprises. For the past 4 festivals, it has appeared to audiences on Channel 7, SBS, Fox, CCTV and French media TV5 Monde.
Reminiscent of Parisian cabaret of the 17th and 18th centuries where artists would gather to share their artform, philosophies, literature, laughter and love. Even the cuisine is modelled on the way the French dined in those days. Furthermore, it was a French magician who modernised magic by taking it off the streets and into cabaret and music hall venues.
After 4 short cabaret acts of poetry, song and dance and your 3 course French dinner, La Belle Rose features a magic cabaret act.
So leave your analytical mind behind and enjoy this cultural journey back in time and as the French say, joie de vivre (joy of living).
