Laughter boosts our immune system, releases blocked emotions and reduces pain. It can help expands our lungs, trains our core muscles and diaphragm, aid our digestive system, lower our blood pressure, promotes blood circulation and make us feel young.
The story: Sylvia, volunteer and Director of Fusion Culture Group, brings laughter to the community groups wherever she goes. She is a trained laughter yoga leader/facilitator, tai chi practitioner, and a certified magic performer. The therapeutic laughter program was created by a medical doctor in India in 1995 to promote body-mind health. It now has thousands of laughter clubs worldwide.
The process: It is a 1-hour session with 4 steps designed to give everyone a happy experience and workout. The responsibility of the laughter leader is to keep the participants motivated, connected, get physical and feel safe and happy to achieve optimum results.
