Make a beeline to The Grounds of Alexandria to participate in a fun and interactive honey workshop these school holidays!
Led by the experts from Maya Sunny Honey, the kids will learn about bees, extract honeycomb from a frame and take home a jar of the honey that they collect during class.
We'll organise all of the materials - and even the cleaning up - so all you need to do is sit back with a coffee and our team will take care of the rest!
This class will run for approximately 45-minutes and will be held outdoors, undercover, with a maximum of 20 children in each class. This is not a drop off service. All parents are required to stay within The Grounds of Alexandria precinct at all times while their child is in class.
The Honey Workshop is suitable for children aged between 6 and 13 years. This is an approximation and we understand that every child has different levels of ability. You are the best judge of whether this activity is appropriate for your child.
Please plan to arrive at The Grounds of Alexandria at least 10-minutes before class and check in with our team in The Patio. Be aware that traffic and parking in the area can be challenging.
Tea, coffee and treats can be purchased from The Grounds of Alexandria Cafe on the day. Please consider making a reservation online before you visit to avoid waiting.
While we've always had strict hygiene practices and cleaning standards in place at The Grounds, we've taken additional steps to reduce the risks and protect our staff, guests and the wider community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Learn more.
