Saturday 4 June 2022 from 12am to 4:15am
An unforgettable night of local knowledge shared by local reprobates.
The night begins at 5.45pm on a discreet Surry Hills back-alley corner - Little Riley Street and Steel Lane. Look out for the shifty character who knows the password to enter the premises of Kate Leigh, the underground Queen of Sydney of Surry Hills in her own Devonshire Street home.
On arrival inside a sly cocktail will be served with antipasto plate before showtime at 7 pm and dessert after the show. Vegan option available.
Inside her premises, true stories in an intimate style will be shared by Kate and her partners in crime Snowy (magic fingers) Mackenzie and Bludger (banjo playing) McGurk for a unique immersive experience. These villains will take you back in time to the 1920s and '30s razor gang world, sharing their tricks of the trade.
Watch out for your wallet and beer, they may disappear!
Jazzy Cafe Bar is the premises where Kate Leigh lived and operated her business - sly grog in the 1920s. Exclusive performance for 20 people only where classic inner-city Sydney stories will be told. These performances are immersive cabaret at its best.
Starring: Vashti Hughes, Dale Trueman and Ross Johnston
