Directed by Kate Gaul, Performed by Antonio Fernandez and Pollyanna Nowkicki. Produced by Siren Theatre Co.
A collision of Poulenc’s operatic adaptation of Cocteau's play, La Voix Humaine, and the play itself. A woman constantly checks her mobile. Her FOMO is omnipresent, and the phone isn’t her only addiction. When our relationships are both enabled and limited by technology, breaking up is hard to do.
SIREN THEATRE CO is an independent company based in Sydney. Siren commissions and produces plays, partnering with producing and presenting organisations to create bold imaginative experiences. Always evolving but these things hold true: the work would look ridiculous in other mediums; always tell a good story; keep the actor at the centre of the work; don’t add to the crap in the world; the work will be beautiful, rigorous, imaginative and timely. This is theatre that is intellectually and financially accessible to a diverse community and promotes equality by normalising feminist and queer experiences.
PLEASE NOTE: It is a condition of entry that patrons are double vaccinated. Face-masks are mandatory in all indoor venues across Sydney. Free disposable masks will be available at box office, but to lessen our impact on the environment, please bring one with you.
