Join Adity Kaushal, @urbanfoodlover passionate vegetarian cook, food stylist and blogger as she introduces us to the techniques of vegan baking.

Baking is both a science and an art. This workshop will guide you through the fundamentals of vegan baking where delicious treats are made without using eggs, milk and butter. Adity will take us through the vegan techniques of

  • Dry and wet mixing

  • Creaming and beating

  • Choosing the right egg and dairy replacements

  • Getting a good crumb and rise

  • Common vegan baking mistakes and how to avoid them

 Using organic ingredients from Alfalfa House we’ll bake 3 simple vegan recipes.

  • Coconut banana bread

  • Anzac cookies 

  • Pumpkin chocolate chip muffins  

With enough to sample and to take home to share with your friends and family. Please bring aprons, and containers to carry home your baked goods. Also wear closed shoes feel free to bring your own muffin trays and cookie sheets if you’d like to use them.
