Interlude Gallery Store & almanac launch

Interlude Gallery Store launch

It is with great enthusiasm that we invite you and your acquaintances to join us for the official opening of the Interlude Gallery Store/Almanac ’16 launch. The store will open in conjunction with the closing feast of our current show Face2Face, as well as the book launch of our 2016 Almanac.

The store:
Located within the office space adjoined to the gallery, the store will exhibit an affordable yet selective range of art souvenirs, sculptures, ceramics, publications, zines, records and unique accessories from local independent labels and artists. The store will also preview the stockroom feature wall, which will rotate available Interlude artist works from our online stockroom.

The almanac:
Interlude’s online archive is accompanied by an annual print almanac. A limited edition book acting as a physical relic and a collaborative work of art in itself. Our 2016 Almanac is a softcover, 88 page publication, featuring photo documentation and written responses from each of the twenty solo and group exhibitions we held last year.

The gallery:
Interlude opened to the public in 2015. It has since been running as a non-for-profit organism, transforming and expanding with the invaluable voluntary participation from our dynamic group of Sydney based collaborators and contributors.

In 2015, we hosted 15 exhibitions, displaying the work of more than 50 national and international artists and 8 Sydney-based writers. In 2016, we held 20 group and solo exhibitions, and displayed the work of more than 80 artists and over 16 local and international writers.

Interlude Gallery events are kindly sponsored by Poor Tom’s Gin.
