Almost 8 in 10 Australians (79%) are now on social media. More than half (56%) access social platforms more than 5 times per day (Sensis, 2018).
The prevalence, penetration and frequency of social media makes it the biggest marketplace in the world, some 3 billion people worldwide.
To be successful, it is now almost mandatory for a business to not just participate in social media, but to have a sophisticated and strategic approach. Social media marketing allows businesses to increase awareness, drive sales leads, retain customers and nurture a loyalty consumer base, and communicate directly with customers.
This month we bring together an influencer, an online editor, and a digital marketing lecturer to help us harness the power of social media:
