In Motion at Gaffa

Where
Gaffa Gallery
Gaffa Gallery
281 Clarence Street, Sydney NSW 2000
When

Mondays to Saturdays, 10am to 6pm Thursday 15 October to Monday 26 October

Gaffa Gallery will hold a dedicated round of exhibitions, with solo and group shows by local artists celebrating makers in motion as part of Sydney Craft Week.

They will showcase a diverse range of craft practices from emerging to mid-career. This will include an opening event to the public to celebrate the exhibitions.

Gaffa will open its studio doors for a chance for visitors to meet the makers and their spaces. They’ll have the opportunity to have a rare peek inside the maker’s creative process, see and purchase one off samples or collection pieces direct, and get to experience our incredible glass house building with a flourishing roof-top urban jungle in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.

Exhibitions:

hi vis – Elaine Goodridge, Ceri Muter, Penny McLaren and Lynn Pavey

The works are largely non-figurative, in an aesthetic language articulating pattern, texture, colour and the embodiment of time vested in their manufacture.

Lost in Thought – Zara Collins

Trying to make sense of the extraordinary force of nature, the fragility of existence and a year of unprecedented upheaval internationally – this exhibition is a search for mindfulness in uncertain times.

The Macro in the Micro – Karin Findeis

A contemporary jewellery exhibition investigating the intersection between textiles and jewellery via the stitch, pixel, dots and particles.
