Taking beautiful music from the concert halls to the streets of Sydney

Mostly Mad Music is a charity using the passion and power of music to raise awareness about mental health. This year, as part of mental health month, Mostly Mad Music is taking music from the concert halls to the streets of Sydney in a series of pop-up chamber music concerts. We believe beautiful music arouses empathy, forges connections and changes how you feel. Music performances will be themed by mood, so YOU get to choose the mood you want to be in.

Mad Music Ambassador and international soloist Filip Pogady is a firm believer that music should be available to everyone. As a member of Yehudi Menuhin’s Live Music Now! Foundation, he is dedicated to bringing music to orphanages, nursing homes, prisons and hospitals.

“Most of these people have never heard this kind of music before, and yet it touches them on a basic human level, because the music is just SO good,” he says.

Joining Filip is concert pianist and composer Van-Anh Nguyen. Van-Anh recently hit the number 1 spot on the Australian iTunes Classical charts and was the first Australian-Vietnamese to enter the US iTunes Classical Charts. A worldwide sensation and in-demand artist, Van-Anh is the newest artist addition to the Universal Music/Decca Records family.

Register for our mailing list and we will send you details with the exact time and place. Bring the kids, a picnic lunch and enjoy the music.
