IKEA Australia will share a glimpse of tomorrow’s sustainable community. Sydneysiders are invited experience a ‘co-living’ community and the acclaimed IKEA Growroom ahead of the People and Planet Positive 2017 report launch.
The report, which will be unveiled on Wednesday 16 August, suggests the community of the future will feature shared living spaces and ownership. The enlarged population will prompt an increase in high-rise housing and migration from rural areas to cities, some of which don’t even exist yet.
Findings from the report will be brought to life at the IKEA shared dining experience. The 2-day shared dining experience is open to the public, combining iconic IKEA foods with fresh ingredients picked straight from the critically-acclaimed Growroom created by SPACE 10, the IKEA future living lab in Copenhagen. This is the first time the urban spherical garden will be showcased in Australia. Australians interested in learning more about the future of community living can register to attend the event via the book tickets link.
