If you wish to build your visual arts skills or just come and play with clay, this 6-week program is for you.
Learn all about ceramics in this fun and engaging course for high school students under the guidance of a professional artist in our purpose-built Ceramics Studio.
Our tutor will mentor you in wheel throwing and hand building. You will explore colourful decoration techniques including surface treatments and glazes. Full instruction will be provided on materials, products, tools and equipment.
Suitable for complete beginners or for those who have some experience with pottery. This fabulous introduction to the medium of clay will guide you through the creative process to create a ceramic project you can be proud of.
Intimate class size: maximum 10 students
Level: designed for beginner level students
Wear: comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes
Bring: yourself – all materials provided
All pieces created in the course must be no more than 25 cubic centimetres. Your works will be fired and ready to collect after the course. We’re unable to fire pieces made outside of the course.
