Become a Flower Scientist for the day in this super fun, free, hands-on workshop! Starting at The Calyx in the heart of the Royal Botanic Garden you’ll get to:
Discover the amazing secrets of the Herbs on a sensory tour. Kids will be immersed in the Herb Garden touching, smelling and tasting specimens that have been important to people for thousands of years.
Get your hands dirty in a potting session! Kids will plant a flower seedling to take home and nurture.
Learn to create your very own plant specimen just like flower scientists do! You’ll be given a beautiful dried flower to start your very own collection of pressed plants.
Take home a fabulous GOODY BAG!
Before or after the workshop you can stay a little longer and check out inBLOOM, the current plant display at The Calyx that allows you to immerse yourself in a spectrum of visible delights surrounded by flowers of every colour and beyond.
