Alison Jones, author of The Jones Family Food Roster, describes the intense support she felt from her community as they rallied to provide her with home-cooked meals. Alison's memoir even features some of these recipes.

Conversely, Rikki Stern, a 20 year old media intern, chose social media as her method of exposition. She is the creator of Cancer Chicks Australia, a support group for young women dealing with Cancer, and was named Westfield Bondi Junction Local Hero.
