The Wellington Gallery presents Gum Trees and Hot Concrete, an exhibition of new abstract paintings by emerging Sydney artist Alexandra Plim.

Gum Trees and Hot Concrete is about painting, experimentation, and finding some freedom amongst the chaos of city life.

'As the pandemic wreaked havoc on the arts and entertainment industry and school shut downs made painting time non-existent, I did not think having an exhibition this year would be possible! Somehow the paintings were still painted, be it in the middle of the night, and with some sensible restrictions galleries are still open! So here we are. I'm thrilled to be able to share this work with an audience of art lovers, especially as we are all so desperate to feel connected, inspired and uplifted.' - Alexandra Plim
