Guided tours of Sydney Town Hall

Guided tours of Sydney Town Hall can be arranged through the Friends of Sydney Town Hall Committee. This group of dedicated volunteers is proud and passionate about this building and its rich history and enjoy sharing their knowledge with visitors.

The Friends is a not-for-profit organisation. The tours and other events raise funds to conserve items in Sydney Town Hall and acquire works of art for its civic collection.

Group tours (of up to 30 people) are conducted on most Tuesdays from 10.30am and take around 2 hours to complete. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of a tour to allow time to pass through security.

A donation of $5 will be collected from each participant to help fund specific projects within the building.

Private tours (in Japanese too) can also be arranged and attract a fee of $10 per head – excluding seniors and students ($5) and children under 5 (free).
