Green Square Neighbour Day

Discover what makes Green Square special at Neighbour Day. Enjoy creative activities and hands‑on experiences while connecting with local groups, clubs and services.

Learn about your local library, bring your bike for a tune up, and enjoy live music and much more!

Meet your neighbours and find out how you can get involved in social or volunteer activities in Green Square. You might even be inspired to start your own group or project. It’s a fun, friendly way to help shape the future of your community.

The event is across 3 locations: Joynton Avenue Creative Centre, Matron Ruby Grant Park (the park next to the centre) and Green Square Public School and Community Spaces ( a 5 minute walk from the centre).

Here is the full program, but keep checking What's On as some of the times and activities may change.

• 10am – 10:30am Welcome to Country Matron Ruby Grant Park

• 10am – 2pm Damper making, bike mechanic, Aboriginal weaving, live community map drawing, reading corner and playdough table Matron Ruby Grant Park

• 10am – 2pm Stamp lab by Season Joynton Avenue Creative Centre

• 10am – 2pm Jewellery making demo by The Bench Joynton Avenue Creative Centre

• 10am – 2pm Fundraising sausage sizzle and bake sale by the Green Square Public School P&C Matron Ruby Grant Park

• 10am – 2pm Teen games room Green Square Public School and Community Spaces, Dr. Naomi Wing Auditorium

• 10am – 2pm Short film screening by Garuwa Green Square Public School and Community Spaces, Community Room 2

• 10:30am – 11am Green Square Public School Choir Matron Ruby Grant Park

• 10:30am - 11:30am Social mahjong Green Square Public School and Community Spaces, Community Room 1

• 11am – 11.30am Tai chi Matron Ruby Grant Park

• 11am – 11:45am Live performances by Season Joynton Avenue Creative Centre

• 11:45am – 2pm Acoustic music by John Grant Matron Ruby Grant Park

• 11:45am – 12:15pm Tai chi Green Square Public School and Community Spaces, Community Room 1

• 11am – 1pm Build a choir Green Square Public School and Community Spaces, Aunty Fay Carroll Hall

• 12pm – 2pm Gnocchi making by Season Joynton Avenue Creative Centre

• 12:30pm – 1pm and 1:15pm – 1:45pm Yoga (mats supplied) Green Square Public School and Community Spaces, Community Room 1
