Every day, 12am to 7am Monday 20 September 2021 to Friday 29 October 2021
We are inviting our local Green Square community to get creative and contribute to a large community installation, in collaboration with 107 Projects and artist Nadeena Dixon.
We will be gifting 107 free creative packs to our neighbours with all the materials and support you need to make your own guardian owl to mind you in your home. Plus, you'll create a special native flora patch that will be weaved together by Nadeena in a beautiful installation that will live at Joynton Avenue Creative Centre.
We hope that this project encourages, inspires, and reminds you that creativity and community are key to keeping connected and hopeful.
You'll be invited to see the final work that connects our local stories, for when we can all meet again in person at Joynton Avenue Creative Centre.
There'll be a bonus walking map from Mapping Edges for you to explore the local pockets of nature and civic ecologies that brighten our neighbourhood, and to help you find unique materials for your creations.
Key dates:
16th-30th September - register for your packs
1st week October - packs mailed out
29th October - collaborative piece returned to Joynton Avenue Creative Centre, to the parcel dropbox near the archways next to Matron Ruby Grant Park.
