Gondwana National Choirs: Voices and Chorale Concert

Join us for a lunchtime recital of choral music from around the world.
Our first concert for 2026 features Gondwana Singers, a mixed choir of young people under the direction of international guest conductor Mat Wright MBE (UK) and Claire Preston. You’ll also be charmed by Gondwana Novus, the youngest singers of National Choral School, directed by Jenny Moon and Lachlan Massey.
In the second concert of National Choral School 2026, you’ll hear the sounds of Gondwana Voices and Gondwana Chorale. We welcome esteemed Spanish conductor Basilio Astulez to direct Gondwana Voices in a program featuring music from the Basque region of Spain, alongside Gondwana’s Associate Artistic Director, Sam Allchurch. Our national youth choir, Gondwana Chorale, is directed by South African choral luminary, Dr Michael Barrett and Dr Elizabeth Scott (Associate Music Director, Sydney Philharmonia Choirs).
