Waverley Library welcomes you to join Yoshie Kumagai Musubi for a special fabric folding workshop.
The event will help you go wrapping paper-free this Christmas.
Reduce, reuse and recycle this holiday season. This fantastic workshop will introduce you to the ancient method for wrapping and carrying items.
Furoshiki started in Japan 1,300 years ago. The craft is making a comeback with the movement towards a more sustainable and environmental lifestyle.
Please bring gift items you intend to wrap this Christmas.
Alternatively, bring items to practice on such as a DVD case, wine bottle and something circular like an orange. There will be some cloth provided to take home on the night.
Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own cloth.
