The world of Fungi and mycelium is full of scientific wonder and this exhibition presents it merged with contemporary botanical art.

The Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens are proud to present two stunning exhibitions together, Fungi x Botanica.

Fungi are the building blocks of our eco-system, evoking wonder, awe and curiosity in nature. They will be the subject for watercolour and acrylic artists, ceramicists, sculptors, photographers and many other disciplines.

Botanica is a well-known exhibition hosted by the Foundation & Friends. In 2019 it celebrated a 20th anniversary. Over this time it has set a high benchmark in the botanical world with many of the artists having enviable worldwide reputations. While some of the Botanical artists will be submitting works on fungi, mushrooms and lichens, other will focus on plants and flowers.
