Today’s Australia is more about ducking out for a cheeky prawn laksa than chucking a shrimp on a barbie.

Just fifty years after the end of the White Australia policy, first-generation Aussies have redefined and enriched what it means to be Australian.  So what’s it like to be one of those first-generation Australians, navigating the complexities of identity, culture and success?

In a brand new talk show from Giant Dwarf, Latina-Australian comedian Joanna Olivera will explore the incredible stories of fellow first-generation Australians. You’ll hear the untold stories of business leaders, politicians, scientists, artists, musicians, foodies and more, as we share the highs and lows of what it means to be, First Gen.

Please note: Live stream tickets are available online up to 60 minutes before show start. Make sure you get your tickets early! A Zoom link will be emailed to you before the show.
