Firestick is a new conversation series featuring First Nations trailblazers who are lighting the way for future generations.

Join Museums of History NSW for the next instalment After the News, the Truth-Telling on Thursday 13 August.

This next edition explores how journalism and the media have long been important spaces for First Nations people to speak truth to power. This talk features leading figures who have spent decades at the forefront of news and politics to understand how far we’ve come and how we can truly create more effective change.

Hear from Travis De Vries, a Gamilaroi and Darug multidisciplinary artist, and founder and managing director of Awesome Black; and Rudi Bremer, the host of ABC Radio National's Awaye! program.

After the event, continue the conversation in The Mint courtyard with drinks and snacks available on the night.

Free event, registration recommended. Register now online
