Firestick is a new conversation series featuring First Nations trailblazers who are lighting the way for future generations.

Join Museums of History NSW for the next instalment Through a Black Lens on Thursday 10 September.

First Nations creatives have produced some of the most iconic works in Australian film and television and their stories continue to reach audiences around the world. In the next edition of Firestick, join Bundjalung Art Curator and actor Miah Madden to discuss the importance of bringing First Nations voices and stories to the global stage.

Miah’s practice spans over 16 years across film and television. Most recently, she features in the major new Netflix production My Brilliant Career, a six-part series based on the iconic Australian novel by Miles Franklin. Her previous credits include The Sapphires, Redfern Now, and Play School. Alongside her screen career, Miah is a Curator and Creative Producer with the National Indigenous Art Fair. 

After the event, continue the conversation in The Mint courtyard with drinks and snacks available on the night.
