The theme for NAIDOC Week 2022 is GET UP, STAND UP, SHOW UP

To celebrate NAIDOC Week the United Nations Association of Australia is honoured to host a special screening of the new feature documentary Ablaze

The film tells the spectacular true story of the first Aboriginal filmmaker, Bill Onus, a Yorta Yorta Wiradjuri man from Victoria, and truly heroic cultural and political figure who revived his people’s culture in the 1940s and ignited a civil rights movement that would, against enormous odds, change the course of history.

We're also excited to celebrate in-person the amazing work of Gamarada Universal Indigenous Resources and Mob Sydney, Aboriginal Motorcycle Club.

GUEST SPEAKERS:

  • Alec Morgan, Writer and Director, Ablaze

  • Ken Zulumovski, Director, Gamarada Universal Indigenous Resources

  • Wes Trist, President, Mob Sydney Aboriginal Motorcycle Club

PIZZA & WINE: Included!
