Fig & Caitlin Harnett

When
  • Saturday 16 May from 7pm to 10pm
Cost

Adult: $39.00

This May, local favourites Fig and Caitlin Harnett bring their energy to the ground floor bar at City Recital Hall for an evening filled with pop-rock and alt-country heart.

Fig began as Tim Burnett’s writing and recording project before evolving into a full band alongside Paddy Morgan, Tim Jennings and Mike Baltins. Their 2020 debut Harumi Hotel quickly found acclaim around Australia, followed by the 2023 release No Need To Rest, recorded with Simon Berckelman at Golden Retriever Studios. Blending vintage synths, shoegaze-tinged guitars and pulsing rhythms, their sound carries echoes of artists like Mark Mothersbaugh, Beach House and The War on Drugs while remaining distinctly homegrown.

Joining them is Caitlin Harnett (of Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys), described by the Sydney Morning Herald as “one of Australia’s premier singer-songwriters”. With a blend of alt-country and Americana, Harnett pairs heartfelt storytelling with warm melodies in a performance that brings her electric voice and songwriting to the fore.

Caitlin will also join Fig on stage for part of their performance. The first time the two acts have performed live together since releasing their single “I Heard It In My Dream."

Presented in partnership with Great Southern Nights.

This is an 18+ event. Please note all tickets are general admission, with limited seating.
