Fashions of Multicultural Australia

An immersive cultural experience with an exhibition and fashion show

The FOMA designer and cultural embassy exhibit will provide a unique opportunity to purchase directly from global fashion designers and gain cultural insights into the many diverse communities that comprise of Australia’s multicultural landscape.

Featuring some fantastic examples of current international fashion trends through the Mannequin exhibit and a hands-on, multi-sensory experience, allowing guests to taste, smell, touch, hear and view some of the most significant items comprising the cultural and commercial identities of 12 participating nations.

Sample Chilean wine while dressing yourself in a traditional Korean hanbok, or enjoy a traditional Indonesian coffee as you immerse yourself in the exhibition of clothing from traditional to contemporary styles, each telling a story of how migration has historically changed fashion. All presented at a venue of cultural significance, The Cutaway. Join us as we take you on a journey from trade to tourism, from food to fashion at FOMA 2019. Free to attend.
