Lunar New Year Festive Display
The Thaitown Lunar New Year wall mural and Thai lanterns return to Meriton Lane from 6 February to 1 March 2026, transforming the laneway into a colourful cultural showcase.
A brand-new Thaitown Lunar New Year installation, commissioned by the City of Sydney, will be unveiled on 12th February and will be on display till 1 March 2026.
A Thai artist will also feature in the Sydney Lunar Festival Banner Gallery, celebrating the Year of the Horse, on display from 12 February to 1 March 2026.

Sydney Lunar Streets – Haymarket street festival on 14th of February
Thaitown joins the City of Sydney’s Haymarket Street Festival as Campbell Street transforms into a vibrant precinct filled with markets, street food, and live performances. Campbell Street will be closed, with a main stage located at the Pitt Street end. Look out for our roaming ambassadors in Thaitown Lunar Festival shirts, along with the Lady Boys Kathoey, who will be on hand to assist with event information and guide you through Thaitown.

The procession will begin at the Thai Kiosk and Installation on the corner of George and Campbell Streets. Join us as we travel along Campbell Street—feel the pulse of the drums and immerse yourself in this vibrant celebration of community as we honour and welcome the Year of the Horse.

Back by popular demand, the Thaitown Annual Community Market returns to Meriton Lane on Campbell Street, hosted by Thai Business and the Thai Community Association and Thaitown Sydney. This event celebrates unique finds and favourite treasures from Thailand.
