Exploring still life

Australian Centre for Photography

Slow down and have some fun while you explore the fundamental building blocks of image making. Become the director of your own photo shoot and master the art of telling stories through objects in this exciting 4 hour still life workshop with Steven Cavanagh. No matter what you like to shoot, skills learnt here will improve your photography as Steven guides you through exercises that experiment with light, colour and composition.

This course requires no previous experience and suitable for ages 12 to 15.

Please bring your own DSLR or Mirrorless (MILC) camera (charged batteries and memory card) and a tripod. If you do not have a DSLR and/or tripod, a mobile phone with camera function will be fine and tripod can be provided.

This workshop is eligible for the NSW Government’s Creative Kids Program.
